Another weekend of weak new releases. Looks like it’s up to the holdovers to yet again hold up the box office. Although, SUPERBOWL 50, like BLIZZARD JONAS, will thoroughly decimate Sunday’s box office across the country as familes gather for a day of SUPERBOWL related festivals and parties. Wow. Just when I thought 50 Shades of BLACK would be one of the worst wide releases this year, no less than a week later comes PRIDE, PREJUDICE, AND ZOMBIES. PATHETIC.

Is there finally an end in sight to Nicholas Sparks adaptations? When you don’t care enough about the quality of a movie to sign up some name actors and a director with a track record you’re relying solely on the name of the novelist to sell the film. Not good enough and the public knows it. Also, is there an end in sight to zombie movies? Here, too, quality counts for something.

    George Clooney IS NOT FUNNY.
