The BFI London Film Festival has confirmed the dates for its 60th anniversary edition, which will take place at venues across the U.K. capital from Oct. 5-16.

The 60th edition will also see the launch, in partnership with IWC Schaffhausen, of a £50,000 ($72,400) bursary award to support an emerging U.K. writer or director whose first or second fiction feature film premieres at the festival.

A shortlisting panel will judge the submissions. The panel will comprise London Film Festival director, Clare Stewart, director of the BFI Lottery Film Fund, Ben Roberts, and four senior executives from the U.K. film industry.
