Kristen Stewart's 'Personal Shopper' Picked Up

Cannes Film Festival award-winning movie “Personal Shopper,” starring Kristen Stewart, has been picked up by Icon Film Distribution in the U.K. and Ireland. Rights to the pic in the territory were previously held by Metrodome, before it filed for bankruptcy.

Chris Lawrance, previously of Metrodome, will handle the pic in the role of marketing and publicity consultant.

Writer/director Oliver Assayas’ pic world premiered as part of the competition section at Cannes, where Assayas won the director award. The film will have its U.K. premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on Oct. 10. IFD will then release the film in theaters across the U.K. and Ireland on March 3, 2017.

It is “an ethereal and mysterious ghost story,” starring Stewart as a high-fashion personal shopper to the stars, who is also a spiritual medium. Grieving the recent death of her twin brother, she haunts his Paris home, determined to make contact with him.

The film also stars Lars Eldinger and Anders Danielsen Lie.
