Loco Films Unveils First Trailer Of

BERLIN — Paris-based sales banner Loco Films has unveiled the first trailer of Anna Muylaert’s “Don’t Call Me Son” (Mae So Ha Uma”), the buzzed-about Brazilian drama which is premiering at Berlin’s Panorama section.

“Don’t Call Me Son” follows Pierre, a teenager who discovers his mom is not his biological mother and has to move in with his real family. As he changes homes and his own name, the young man starts to wonder about his real identity.

Pic marks Muylaert’s anticipated follow-up to “The Second Mother,” which won Sundance’s jury prize, Berlin’s Panorama’s audience award and traveled to over 30 territories, becoming one of last year’s biggest world cinema hits.

Loco Films hosted a market screening for the movie Sunday and has already scored a flurry of sales.
