Gavin Polone Picks Up Perfectly Ordinary Beverly Hills House

BUYER: Gavin Polone
LOCATION: Beverly Hills Post Office, CA
PRICE: $1,875,000
SIZE: 2,742 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms

YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Feisty talent agent turned seven-time Emmy nominated “Curb Your Enthusiasm” producer Gavin Polone has, per property records, paid $1.875 million for an unassuming, and even rather ordinary 1950s residence privately situated behind gates at the tail end of a somewhat obscure cul-de-sac above Coldwater Canyon in the Beverly Hills Post Office area. (We’re just gonna look past the over-the-top decor because we assume Mister Polone will have it all ripped out and replaced with something more refined.) The three bedroom and three full and two half bathroom single-story residence spans about 2,700-square-feet and includes a formal living room with massive stone fireplace and at least one wall entirely covered in mirrors like it’s 1982. Done up with run-of-the-mill black granite counter tops and high-quality stainless steel appliances, the cook-oriented kitchen is open to a combination family/dining room with another fireplace, a wet bar and more mirrored wall panels. Several rooms open through ordinary glass sliders to a partly trellis shaded terrace that wraps around the rear of the residence to a compact yard with a large swimming pool and spa.

It seems unlikely the famously ascetic entertainment industry provocateur will move into the house since he owns a much more luxe multi-acre Beverly Hills estate he bought in 1998 and unsuccessfully attempted to sell in 2012 at $15.9 million.

I think that’s a nice little house. Considering the area maybe he just doesn’t feel like dropping some crazy cash for something bigger.

Is the brown recliner in photo # 10 a genuine, vintage and decor-congruent BarcaLounger?
