SELLER: James Deen
LOCATION: Woodland Hills, CA
SIZE: 4,226 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms
YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: The Bizzy Boys over at Celebrity Address Aerial were the first to ferret out that a decoratively dated triple-story post modern contemporary in Woodland Hills, CA, owned by porn superstar and adult entertainment entrepreneur James Deen is now listed at $1.25 million, down from its original asking price of $1.35 million. Mister Deen, who has appeared in a pearl-clutching 2,000-plus adult films and last year faced a sickening barrage of ghastly sexual assault allegations by several former girlfriends and co-stars, picked up the hillside property at in May 2011 for $880,000.
Privately situated near the quiet end of ridge line cul-de-sac and rather benevolently described in online marketing materials as an “architectural marvel,” the hillside house was erected in the early 1990s and configured with four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in 4,228-square-feet. A walled and gated courtyard leads to a loft-like mid-level entrance that hangs over the main living room below that features blond hardwood floors, a 20-plus-foot high ceiling, Bouquet Canyon flag stone fireplace, a wet bar, and a towering wall of windows with open views. Back up on the middle level the formal dining room opens through to a spacious if mundane kitchen with large center work island, walk-in pantry, glossy jet-black counter tops, a built-in dining banquette, and direct access to a dining terrace. There are three guest/family bedrooms sprinkled around the two lower floors while the master suite occupies the entire third floor with another Bouquet Canyon flag stone fireplace along with a walk-in closet, spacious ceramic tiled bathroom with super-dated glass block accents, and a rooftop terrace with virtually unobstructed 180-degree views that sweep over the hot as Hades western end of the San Fernando Valley. Other features noted in listing descriptions are a media room, wine cellar and three-car garage.
Mister Deen, who made a not particularly successful stab at mainstream movies with the 2013 Lindsay Lohan-starring box office flop “The Canyons,” appears to have made a stylish upgrade to his residential circumstances with the $1.36 million purchase in late 2015 of a three-bedroom and two-bathroom mid-century modern on a sylvan parcel in rugged hills in the northern reaches of Pasadena.
