UTA has hired Rina Brannen as an agent in its television literary department.

Brannen joins UTA from The Rothman Brecher Agency where she was an agent in the television literary department for the last three years. She began her career as an assistant in the Motion Picture Literary department at CAA then went on to work for various producers and filmmakers before joining the Gersh agency where she worked as an agent for two years.

At The Rothman Brecher Agency, Brannen’s clients included a range of writers, producers, and directors in television, film, books and beyond – including writers Alex Metcalf (“Unreal”, “Kingdom”), Jen Klein (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as well as directors Zetna Fuentes (“Shameless”) and Steven A. Adelson (EP/Director of “Beyond”).

Brannen joins UTA amidst significant expansion by the agency, which recently acquired The Agency Group, the world’s largest independent music agency, in addition to hiring a number of high-profile agents across a variety of practice areas throughout this year.
