Bill Cosby’s Wife Files Motion to Delay Deposition in Sex Assault Case

Lawyers for Bill Cosby’s wife, Camille, filed an emergency motion late on Saturday to allow her to avoid sitting for a deposition scheduled for Monday.

Camille Cosby’s deposition should be delayed because she “has had no involvement with the facts or allegations underlying this case,” say her lawyers in the motion. It goes on to assert that her testimony would create “an unnecessary media circus and personal security threat that serves no purpose other than to harass and embarrass her.”

The motion also asks that, if the deposition does proceed, it at least be held at a more private place than the Springfield Marriott in Massachusetts. Camille Cosby’s lawyers argued that she “will be subjected to a parade through a sea of reporters” and open to “eavesdropping and gawkers.”

A federal judge ruled on Friday that Camille Cosby must answer questions in a defamation lawsuit brought against Bill Cosby by seven women. The women claim Bill Cosby sexually assaulted them decades ago; the comedian and his lawyers have publicly denied the allegations. Bill Cosby has counter-sued the seven accusers for defamation.

Camille Cosby has stood by her husband since the allegations resurfaced, saying in a statement this past February, “The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work.”

  1. Bill B. says:

She should be embarrassed. She’s been covering for this very, very, very rich meal ticket rapist for many, many, many years.

    • @Bill B. I am not against a person having an opinion, the problem with people like you is You make statements in such certainty like you were there all these years and know for a fact.. via the multiple use of “Many” in Years of alleged coverup… What proof do you have that mr Cosby is a Rapist?? What proof do you have that his wife knew anything about it?? I would be willing to bet you your months pay You could not handle people making up stuff as they go through because they are either bias or jealous of the person has more than them.. I’m inclined to believe you are jealous because of your multiple use of the word very when describing the wealth of Cosby.probably prejudiced as well.

  2. Observer says:

If nothing to hide Camille, then you should be Happy to stand for your husband.
You would Welcome media attention to defend your wronged husband, no?

Or… maybe you do have much to hide and if so, husband or not, you are an accomplice to a disgusting rapist.
If all true, you should both be in jail and shunned. Put your elitism aside already and stand your ground.

    • @observer.. You should talk about hiding?? this coming from a fraud know it all hiding behind his or her computer and fake name.. Come out of the shadows then speak.. when people sit in glass houses should not throw stones.. presumptive on your part to pontificate from the mountain top… Put your ego & bias away wait until all the smoke clears …careful your white sheet is showing.
