Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” have each been renewed for two more seasons, CBS TV Distribution announced Thursday.

All hosts, Alex Trebek (“Jeopardy”), Pat Sajak and Vanna White (“Wheel of Fortune”), have signed on through the 2017-2018 as well.

“Not only are ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and ‘Jeopardy’ iconic brands that have consistently delivered ratings and revenue to stations for years, but they are beloved by viewers who have made them appointment viewing in households across the country,” said Joe DiSalvo, president of sales for CBS Television Distribution. “They are two of the most sought-after shows by political advertisers, so our station partners will benefit from locking up these shows through the upcoming 2016 presidential election season.”

The series, hailing from Sony Pictures Television, are television’s top game shows, bringing in more than 10 million viewers each day. “Wheel of Fortune” has been the top game show in syndication since its start.

The renewal deal takes “Wheel of Fortune” through its 35th season and “Jeopardy” through its 34th.

  1. Sally Wilkinson says:

Just watched the first show of the new season and they did not show the spin I’d. Are they not doing it anymore? Sally W.

  2. Isabel says:

When does new season for wheel of fortune and jeopardy begin?

  3. WTD says:

Who cares? Whilst I do enjoy watching Jeopardy, even though it is the No. 2 game show in syndication in terms of average viewership, I cannot wait for Wheel Of Fortune to end once and for all, and it will when the time comes. Wheel Of Fortune is not the popular game show it once was in its heyday. Not enough contest and too much dog-and-pony show content featuring Pat Sajak and Vanna White.

  4. Debbie In Alabama says:

Oh yippee, more footage of Pat and Vanna shopping in Beverly Hills with lil Pat carrying her shopping bags around; or perhaps more of them trying to ‘hula’….ah yes, and more of them para-sailing, — No longer a ‘game’ show… Just less contest and more ‘Adventures of Pat and Vanna’….
