Candace Cameron Bure, who played D.J. Tanner in the ’90s sitcom and will reprise her role in the Netflix sequel, made her feelings very clear. Though she didn’t mention the program by name, she tweeted a simple note of, “So bad. Just so bad,” while it was airing.
She also retweeted Andrea Barber, also known to “Full House” fans as Kimmy Gibbler, who posted a rather judgmental face of her famous character. Barber also joked, “So anything good on TV tonight?”
Another star of the original series, John Stamos, wasn’t so cynical. In fact, he tweeted a supportive note to Justin Gaston, the actor portraying him in the Lifetime movie.
“Full House” and “Fuller House” creator Jeff Franklin also weighed in with his two cents, downplaying some of the drama in the “Unauthorized Full House Story” and writing, “About that Lifetime movie. Not so good.”
For those who want more of the real thing, “Full House” sequel “Fuller House” is set to hit Netflix next year.
