AXS TV Renews ‘The X Factor U.K.’ For Season 12 in the U.S.

AXS TV has renewed “The X Factor U.K.” for the second consecutive year, bringing the overseas show to domestic screens, serving as the official U.S. home to the competition series.

Like last season, all episodes of the upcoming twelfth season will air within 24 hours after the respective U.K. broadcasts. The new season, which brings back judge Simon Cowell, premieres in the fall.

The agreement for a 34-episode order was signed with FremantleMedia International and Cowell’s Syco Entertainment.

Over the years, the show has produced big industry stars like One Direction, Leona Lewis, Olly Murs and Cher Lloyd. In 11 seasons, every winner has had a No. 1 single on the U.K. music charts.

“The X Factor U.K.” was created by Syco Entertainment and is co-produced by Thames TV. AXS is the first American television network to air the U.K. version of the show.
