A “The Walking Dead” fan has allegedly beat his friend to death before he could “change into a zombie.”
According to KOB 4 News, 23-year-old Damon Perry was drunk and binge-watching the gory AMC hit on Thursday when he believed his friend Christopher Paguin had begun to join the ranks of the undead.
Perry attacked Paguin with fist, feet, an electric guitar and a microwave. He told police that he thought he was stopping a transformation from human to zombie, as well as a zombie apocalypse. Perry also threatened others in his complex with a knife before he was subdued by maintenance workers and officers arrived on the scene.
Paquin’s dead body was found in the apartment. Perry was being held on the charge of murder.

Wow! This is something I’ve been wondering about happening in real life just the last few days. Not in the context of being drunk or drugged up, but just whether a fan or even one of the actors or show producers being so caught up in the Walking Dead universe might do something weird in real life. Like once when my husband were driving through town I would see fenced-in buildings and think how they would good refuges from zombies, then I was laughing at myself for being too caught up in it and thinking weird stuff like that. So I started wondering whether some people, if they saw someone die, might start to grab a knife to stab the dead person in the head so they won’t turn. Hopefully they would stop themselves and think, “Oh, wait, this is real life, we don’t do that in real life.” But what if they didn’t?
Schizophrenia, methamphetamine, or a just a ridiculous lie to help him with an insanity plea? Or some combination there-in?
And our government wants to legalize pot? They are the walking dead. Pot is the gateway drug. This kid was not just drunk. A useless murder. Addiction is the real killer here.
