Of course a show titled the “The Flash” would have lightning-fast costume changes.

On Monday, the CW and Warner Bros. TV unveiled a new, “flashier” costume for Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen to wear when he becomes his fast-paced alter ego in the second season of their superhero show.

The new suit comes from Maya Mani, the costume designer who also created the revamped uniform that Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen will be wearing on the upcoming season of “The Flash’s” sibling show, “Arrow.” While Colleen Atwood designed the original superhero costumes for both of these programs’ title characters, Mani also created the costumes for “Arrow” supes Arsenal (Colton Haynes), Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), Speedy (Willa Holland) and A.T.O.M. (Brandon Routh).

The new “Flash” suit can be seen in the show’s season two premiere episode, which airs at 8 p.m. Oct. 6 on the CW.  A picture of the old suit is shown at the top of this story, while the new suit is shown at the end of it. Which suit do you like better?

  1. vincent says:

    just the logo change? :/

  2. cwan says:

They did change the placement of the gold lines in the suit besides just the logo color change I like it

  3. PJ Arts says:

If the suit color has been moved away from maroon, towards Flash’s proper red, then that (plus the white logo) would make a nice differentiation from the Season 1 suit. If just the logo…meh.

  4. steven says:

Same here not really any difference but the logo

  5. adam says:

i don’t see any difference really.. except the logo color change.. so it’s not really a new suit.

  6. Goodbyenoway says:

He needs to put on some weight because he’s looking like an anorexic teenaged girl. A new suit won’t help that.

  7. Outside of the insignia, what’s new about it?
