By normal conventions for ABC’s hit reality competition, the new star of the franchise is typically a contestant from the most recent season, and is often announced the night of the finale during the “After the Final Rose” special — though the last “Bachelor” (Chris Soules) was not revealed until weeks after the season ender.
“I think it’s Ben H.,” Bristowe offered up during the “Men Tell All” taping earlier this month, telling Variety her best guess for “Bachelor” is her third runner-up, Ben Higgins. “I think he’s just God’s gift to women. Not sure why I didn’t see that, but, I mean, men, women, their dogs, they all love Ben H.”
If Higgins were given the title, would he be interested in leading “The Bachelor’s” 20th season?
“I think when that opportunity, if it happens, presents itself, it’s something you have to go at. It’s a great opportunity,” he told Variety. “I think being in this experience now has taught me…it’s not ideal, but it can work. I developed true feelings for Kaitlyn — some feelings I still have today.”
