SundanceTV Launches ‘Serial’-Inspired ‘Rectify’ Podcast

SundanceTV is making it easier for fans to catch up on crime drama “Rectify” by taking a page from coverage of an actual murder case and has launched the “Serial”-inspired podcast “Rectify: The Case Against.”

The podcast, which is written by “Rectify” staff writer Kate Powers, condenses the previously aired 16 hours of television into 16 minutes of audio. The podcast is meant to bring in new viewers to the series, which follows Daniel Holden (Aden Young), a man adjusting to life on the outside after spending much of his life on death row for the rape and murder of his girlfriend. It also offers a refresher course for those who are foggy on how season two ended last year.

“Rectify’s” third season premieres at 10 p.m.  July 9 on SundanceTV.
