‘SNL’: Chris Hemsworth Mocks Thor, Leads the Victory Party in ‘Avengers’ Sketch

It should be little surprise that a Chris Hemsworth-hosted “Saturday Night Live” episode would touch on “The Avengers,” with the newest installment of the franchise releasing in a just a few months, but the superheroes got to show their fun side in the fake news report that aired this weekend.

The sketch takes place shortly after the group defeats the villain Ultron, and Hemsworth’s Thor seems less superhero and more fratboy as he celebrates victory, pumping up his onlookers and even doing the Running Man at one point.

We’ve seen the Avengers celebrate before (remember that shawarma scene?), but the group seems even more excited after their big victory, with Taran Killam appearing as Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, and Pete Davidson showing up as a confused Bruce Banner. “I think I ate a guy,” says the dazed Banner.

Cecily Strong plays a humorless newscaster, desperate to pry details from the situation as Nick Fury (Jay Pharoah) and wet blanket Captain America (Beck Bennett) join the party.

Avengers: Age of Ultron” is set to hit theaters May 1. See the sketch below.
