Two of TV’s favorite odd-couple partnerships may get the chance to meet during the 2015-2016 season. Sources confirm that Fox is planning to bring characters from “Sleepy Hollow” and veteran procedural “Bones” together for an upcoming crossover event, although details on when the crossover will air and which characters may be involved remain under wraps.

According to Variety sister site TVLine, which first reported the crossover, “the EPs at both shows have an inventive idea in place that organically merges the vastly different ‘Bones’ and ‘Sleepy’ universes.” While the crossover was initially planned for a fall debut, “logistical issues” necessitated the postponement of the meet-cute until spring.

“Sleepy Hollow” is moving from its former Monday timeslot to Thursdays at 9 p.m. in the fall, leading out from “Bones,” which has occupied the 8 p.m. Thursday berth since last season.

“Bones” stars Emily Deschanel (Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan) and David Boreanaz (former FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth), while “Sleepy Hollow” stars Tom Mison (Ichabod Crane) and Nicole Beharie (Lt. Abbie Mills). “Sleepy Hollow” recently announced the addition of “Twilight” star Nikki Reed as a series regular for Season 3.

Fox declined to comment on the news.

“Bones” Season 11 and “Sleepy Hollow” Season 3 will premiere Thursday, Oct. 1, on Fox.

I love both series & have watched them both from the start, I am fascinated to see how this plays out, as a writer my mind boggles with ideas, lol, good luck either way I am sure we will all enjoy the outcome:-)

  2. scyren says:

I’m not the least bit interested in Bones but watch Sleepy Hollow. As long as it is written well, I’ll watch.

  3. Laura C says:

I’ve never been the least bit interested in Sleepy Hollow, but have been watching Bones since Day One. I don’t care for crossovers unless I am familiar with BOTH/ALL shows. For example, Chicago Fire, SVU and Chicago PD. I will probably watch it however just because I DO like Bones.

  4. Ingwaz Thor says:

I think this is jumping the shark for both shows.

  5. Karl says:

While the second season of Sleepy Hollow was no where as good as the first, why punish it with a crossover with one of the worst shows that has the most annoying characters on TV. Use a different show!

    • Angie says:

I could easily say the opposite. Bones fans will probably not be Sleepy Hollow fans and vice versa. The shows are very different and they each have their own fan base. Just let it play out and see what happens, but don’t insult a show that has been on the air for 10 seasons, there is a reason why it’s still on, it has the fan base, and to have that, their fans need to like the characters and story lines. Again, you don’t need to agree with that since you’re not a fan, but there is no need to make negative comments, as anyone who is not a fan of Sleepy Hollow could do the same with your show, and I’m sure you would not enjoy that. Bones fans are Bones fans, Sleepy Hollow fans are Sleepy Hollow fans, let’s see how they merge them before you start insulting shows….
