Leftfield Entertainment has launched a new production company, Riot Creative, Variety has learned.
TV exec and producer Stephanie Angelides will serve as president of Riot Creative, which will develop television programming with a focus on OTT and digital platforms.
“Stephanie Angelides is another perfect fit for our group’s vision of putting creatives in the best position to focus on the next big hit, while the LFE machine focuses on delivering for our clients across all areas of operations,” Leftfield Entertainment CEO Brent Montgomery commented.
Previously, Angelides was senior VP of development for All 3 Media’s production company Optomen, where she oversaw all North American scripted and unscripted development for Optomen Productions and Gordon Ramsay’s One Potato Two Potato. She has produced shows for Bravo, Discovery, Food Network, ID, Animal Planet, NatGeo Wild, Lifetime and MTV, including “Scorned: Love Kills” (ID), “One Bad Choice” (MTV) and “Best New Restaurant” (Bravo). Before her eight years at Optomen, Angelides was a producer at production company Lion TV.
“To get the chance to focus on being creative in various genres of programming, and for both established networks and emerging platforms, is about as good as it gets in our business,” Angelides said. “I am thrilled for the opportunity to lead Riot Creative, and to be part of the team at Leftfield Entertainment.”
Leftfield Entertainment, founded by Montgomery in 2013, houses Leftfield Pictures, Sirens Media, Loud TV and Outpost Entertainment.
