Maitee Cueva has been promoted to senior VP of programming and development at OWN, the network announced Tuesday.
In addition to general programming initiatives, Cueva’s new position specifically entails heading programming and development for the network’s Saturday night slate.
Cueva joined OWN in 2010 — six months before its launch — as executive director of programming and development. Shortly after, she was promoted to VP.
“As we celebrate Maitee’s fifth anniversary at OWN, it gives us great pleasure to announce this well-deserved promotion,” said Sheri Salata, president of OWN. “Maitee is a seasoned pro with a creative eye and laser focused executorial style. Her energy and passion for non-scripted television was key to building our successful Saturday night lineup so beloved by OWN viewers.”
Before joining OWN, Cueva was the director of programming and development at MTV Networks and worked on shows including “Parental Control” and “America’s Best Dance Crew.”
