‘Orange Is the New Black’: Jason Biggs Not Returning to Season 3

Jason Biggs Orange is the New

Larry, you’ve been paroled.

Jason Biggs will not be returning for season three of “Orange Is the New Black,” Netflix confirmed to Variety.

Biggs has played series regular Larry Bloom — the ex-fiance of Piper (Taylor Schilling) — since the start of “OITNB” in 2013.

“They’re not focusing on Larry at the moment,” Biggs told the New York Daily News. “Larry will not be in season three. But there’s always a possibility he can come back.”

The “American Pie” star is currently working on Broadway with Elisabeth Moss and Bryce Pinkham in “The Heidi Chronicles,” which opens Feb. 23.

“Orange Is the New Black” is set to premiere on Netflix this June.

  1. Tim says:

So now the already ultra boring character of Piper gets a little more boring without her ex-beard/boyfriend. Lately, I’ve been using the show to catch up on my sleep.

  2. Mary says:

    So silly his character was…

  3. Theironcross@gmail.com says:

    I never liked him anyways

  4. kk says:

    Who cares!!

  5. Dan says:

So he quits nickelodeons tmnt show to focus on this show and now he is not going to be on it, mmmmm bad move Mr. Biggs.

  6. Libby says:

How on earth are they going to continue on with a crucial part being Piper’s relationship/Her bestfriend’s relationship with Larry!? DFIKJDKfdHSHJ%T eugh

  7. Alice Pollock Roushia says:

That’s too bad he’s not coming back, but the show must go on. Very excited for the new season to start!!! I ♡♡♡ this show.

  8. Well that’s a pretty big cut! I will say that means they better have worked very hard at making this a good season! makes me wonder if this is why it’s taking them so long for them to come out with season 3? I am ready for June to see what happens next regardless!

  9. Jason Curwen says:

How the heck can he not be in the next season!?
That’s just crazy. The show needs his point of view, plus his relationship with Pipers best friend/ business partner. He needs to get of Broadway, and come do the show! Broadway, he’s no Broadway show star. Lol l. Joking

  10. lindsay says:

Wtf, why take him out. He has a place in the show now as pipers bestfriend new boyfriend, so are you writing out Polly too!
    Don’t fuck with the show!!

  11. Lisa says:

who’s gonna play her boyfriend then????

  12. Michael says:

No loss there. He’s dead weight in anything he does.

  13. Mark E. Bye says:

I’m guessing the show survives this massive hit. (snark)

  14. Revenue says:

when dose it come back on

  15. Christopher Hughart says:

Waiting so long to come out with a 13 week series is crazy. If the show hasn’t extended its series by about 5 weeks I will be very disappointed. This show is too popular to not have it ran promptly. The 6 month delay #Failure

  16. Beth Katehis says:

I Was in Season 1 Episode 2 and other Episodes of Season 1. I am the Blonde Inmate Dressed in Orange also like Piper Chapman.

  17. Renee says:

I totally agree with you. If I know the next episode is available, I won’t be able to help myself. The same with House of Cards. It’s like tv crack.

  18. Rianne says:

    Best decision they could’ve made

  19. markengberg says:

Best news I heard all day.

  20. Glenora Drum says:

I knew that was going to happen. Can’t wait for season 3. :)

  21. My single problem with OITNB: the entire new season is available at once. So I watch it in a week or two or less and then I have to wait another year for the next season. By that time the show has faded from some people’s memories and tortured others by making them wait a whole year. Why not just add an episode a week like it’s done traditionally?

    • Steve Stevens says:

Perhaps you need to work on delaying gratification and simply choose to watch one episode a week.

      • Sarah C says:

Lol!! I think you said what many of us are thinking Steve Stevens! I think Andrew should be able to control his own impulsive behavior. Many of us binge watch, but WE are the ones making that call. This show is incredibly popular right now. I don’t think the producers NEED to do anything differently!

  22. frothybrew says:

Now that he won’t be on the show they can finally call it a drama instead of a comedy…… this show is not funny.

  23. James says:

I see some of you all hate Larry but if they stay true to her story…he pretty much will have to come back. She ended up married to him lol

  24. Beth says:

The show will be better without him

  25. Alpha bitch says:

Yippee! I hate Larry. He’s such a tool.

  26. cellsumfrost says:

Now no one can be more boring than Piper has become.
