Further revelations about Josh Duggar have surfaced following the news that he molested five underage girls (including two of his sisters) as a teenager, leading to the cancellation of his family’s TLC reality series19 Kids and Counting” in May.

Now, Duggar has admitted to a pornography addiction and cheating on his wife, after his name was linked to a paid account on Ashley Madison — a website for facilitating extramarital affairs that was recently hacked, resulting in a huge leak of users’ private information.

Duggar and his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, released statements regarding his infidelities on the family’s website after the news broke.

Statement from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar:

Please see the statement below from our son Josh regarding recent media stories about him. When we learned of this late last night our hearts were broken. As we continue to place our trust in God we ask for your prayers for Josh, Anna, our grandchildren and our entire family.

Statement from Josh Duggar:

I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.

I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.

I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.

The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.

As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.

I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.

Duggar later revised his apology, removing his mention of “porn addiction” and rewording his comments about cheating on his wife.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.” It is not for man to judge there will be a higher judgement, let Josh explain then.

  3. Trevina Fairegate says:

These people make me want to vomit!

  4. Sharon Davis says:

Another example of white trash and big money (45K an episode?) Years ago, traveling around the country for my job, I watched motel cable TV and caught a few Duggar shows. I can remember how disgusted I was to hear that all of the kids are dressed from birth in thrift shop clothes, as if they were POOR.
To think the Duggars had babies for cable TV ratings is gut-wrenching; no wonder Josh went insane.

  5. MK Davies says:

I just read about Josh Duggar “apologizing to his fans.”

    He actually still HAS fans?

    EEEEEEOOOOOOW!!!

Who would want to be a fan of Josh Duggar?!

    Creepy…

  6. Lacie says:

Just go away and take your family with you. Go get a real job versus being a pretend Christian. Phony.

  7. Brad Reyno says:

All those who were waiting with excitement for his apology raise your hand..

    just as I figured.

  8. RS says:

He’s only sorry because he got caught.

  9. Tom says:

Child molesters should be shot. Why do we put up with child molesters in our country? Why do we put up with adults who hurt children? Up against the wall. Ready, aim, fire. End of story.

Who cares about your porn addiction and adultery. Watching paid adults perform sex acts on the net isn’t exactly living in downtown Sodom. People commit adultery all of the time. You’re an untrustworthy dirt-bag who likes porn, join about 30% of the country. I got it. You’re bigger problem is that you’re a child molester and a hypocrite hiding behind God’s name.

I was a teenage boy and never once, not once, considered inappropriately touching my sisters or children. You are a pedophile and, at least in my kingdom (if I had one), you’d be done for.

And to hide behind Jesus? Man, you are really whacked! Anytime someone gets too zealous, doesn’t matter which religion, my antennae are up and I’m keeping a close eye on my wife and kids.

If God exists, he’s not going to welcome you into his realm, you’re heading for the badlands my friend.
