UPDATED: Jimmy Fallon has suffered a hand injury that forced NBC to scrap Friday’s taping of “The Tonight Show.”
Fallon was taken to the hospital Friday morning for an injury that required minor surgery.
According to Fallon’s Twitter, the late-night host injured himself when he tried to stop himself from falling and his ring caught on the edge of a table.
He was already scheduled to be on production hiatus for the coming two weeks, June 29 through July 10.
“Tonight Show’s” twitter feed assured fans “Don’t need to worry, Jimmy is okay” in a subsequent tweet.
Later on Friday, Fallon tweeted an update, showing his bandaged hand.
