The script is being written by Katie Lovejoy. The pic was developed by Mark Nicholson, who will get an exec producer credit on the project, as will Gordon-Levitt.

Gordon-Levitt’s “The Walk” opens with a limited release in Imax theaters this weekend before going wide on Oct.9. The film tells the true story of high-wire artist Philippe Petit, who in 1974 walked the void between the Twin Towers. Gordon-Levitt also stars in the adult holiday comedy “The Night Before” later this year and has Oliver Stone biopic “Snowden” bowing in 2016. He is repped by WME and Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein.
Zadan and Meron are staying busy on both the TV and film fronts with a live musical version of “The Wiz” airing on NBC this December,”Monster High” in development at Universal and a feature-length “Pippin” musical set up at The Weinstein Co. They are repped by CAA.
