‘Gotham’ Sneak Peek: Meet Bruce Wayne’s New Crush (EXCLUSIVE)

There’s a new villain in town in “Gotham” season two, but for now, Theo Galavan (James Frain) is playing the long con — even going so far as to break out a cadre of lunatics from Arkham Asylum just so he could publicly defeat their ringleader (RIP, Jerome) and make himself look like a hero in front of the city’s elite.

After saving Bruce Wayne’s life, Theo is perfectly positioned to manipulate our future Dark Knight, and in Variety’s exclusive sneak peek, he’s already attempting to take Bruce under his wing — but it’s his niece, Silver St. Cloud, who proves truly irresistible to the brooding teen. But behind that pretty face lies “a heart beating with dark intent,” according to Silver’s character description, so Bruce had better beware.

Silver isn’t the only new arrival in episode 204, titled “Strike Force.” Following Jerome’s murder of Commissioner Essen, Michael Chiklis makes his first appearance as her replacement at the GCPD, Captain Barnes, who is tasked with creating a law-abiding task force with the help of Gordon (Ben McKenzie). Meanwhile, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) gets caught up in a favor for Galavan, and Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) asks Kringle (Chelsea Spack) out on a date.

Gotham” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
