FX Networks has promoted five senior marketing execs, a recognition of the expanding number of platforms served by the department. The list includes cablers FX, FXX and FXM and the digital FXNow service.
The recently promoted execs are Sally Daws, John Varvi, Todd Heughens, Jason Phipps and Lance Reiss.
“Sally, John, Todd, Jason and Lance exemplify all that is essential and admirable in the marketing realm,” said Stephanie Gibbons, president of marketing, digital media and on-air promotions for FX Networks. “Their individual and team efforts have contributed to every marketing success at FX Networks for the last ten years.”
Daws has been promoted from senior VP to exec VP of marketing and digital media. She joined FX in 1994, and will continue to head the network’s advertising and national media planning and buying, and digital media including the network’s TV Everywhere application, FXNow and Simpsons World.
As recently appointed exec VP of on-air promotions, Varvi will continue to head network branding, series campaigns, episodic promotions, on-air editorial, operations and scheduling. He has worked on the launch of every FX original series since he joined the network in 2002.
Heughens, senior VP of print design, will head print and outdoor campaigns for FX, FXX and FXM. In his role as senior VP of digital media, Jason Phipps will oversee digital efforts for all branches of FX Networks. Reiss will serve as senior VP of marketing where he will head consumer marketing initiatives.
