Emmy Nomination Scorecard: TV Series and Network

HBO has continued its network dominance at the Emmy Awards, setting the all-time nominations record in the process.

The premium cabler towered over the competition with 126 nominations this morning — up from last year’s 99 and breaking the previous all-time Emmy high of 124 by HBO in 2004. “Game of Thrones” (24), “Olive Kitteridge” (13), “Bessie” (12) and “Boardwalk Empire” (10) all were in double digits.

This is the 15th straight year that HBO has led all networks in nominations, and s the 24th consecutive year that it has led among cable networks.

HBO had three times as many nominations as the next closest network (ABC with 42), and as many as the top three networks combined (CBS and NBC both had 41). The Alphabet’s most honored series were newcomer “American Crime” (10) and veterans “Dancing With the Stars” (8) and “Modern Family” (6).
