Doubt,” the CBS TV Studios legal drama pilot that did not land a series order in May, is poised for another go at the network.

CBS was moving last week to lock in final details for the pilot to be reshot this fall, putting it on the fast track for series contention, according to sources. The script is currently being rewritten by the original scribes, “Grey’s Anatomy” duo Tony Phelan and Joan Rater.

CBS declined comment.

Director Adam Bernstein is still attached to the project, along with numerous original cast members, although recasting of some roles is expected. The original pilot featured Teddy Sears, KaDee Strickland, Dule Hill and Laverne Cox. Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly are exec producing.

“Doubt” revolves around a female lawyer who becomes romantically involved with one of her clients who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.

Maybe this time Katherine Heigl’s mother will keep her mouth shut and quit acting like her daughter is Meryl Streep and deserves a golden toilet to her somebody will keep working with her for a while everyone has dumped her because of her mother and her ridiculous demands that Katherine has done herself no favors either

  2. …a female lawyer who becomes romantically involved with one of her clients…”

    Stupidest storyline I’ve ever read.

This has FAIL written all over it for many different reasons.

“Reshoot?” This trainwreck is in big trouble already. I cannot imagine this having any sort of audience.

  5. Hotl says:

A small group of the viewing populace will tune in to the first episode or two to gawk at the person with gender confusion like a sideshow attraction and then the ratings will sink like the Titanic. This is embarrassing to CBS.

  6. Comps says:

I am a little surprised at CBS for putting this stunt of a show on air. They were once a classy network, but this is just a attempt at fad ratings that will clearly fail. Stupid.

  7. TeTe says:

I absolutely hope this show, obviously based around stunt casting, is a monumental failure.
