Donald Trump and senior editorial executives at Fox News Channel intend to meet to work out their differences,  according to a statement released Thursday by the 21st Century Fox-owned cable-news outlet.

“Fox News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes and Donald Trump spoke this morning and plan to have a meeting next week to discuss their differences of opinion regarding Fox’s coverage of Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign. Ailes will be joined by senior Fox editorial executives. Mr. Trump believes he has been treated unfairly in certain instances,” said a Fox News spokesperson via a statement released to media outlets. “Fox News has held every candidate in this race to the highest journalistic standards throughout our coverage. We believe a candid meeting about our differences is required and that any misunderstandings can be handled without compromising those standards.”

The statement marks the latest bout of to-and-fro between the man who is at present the leading Republican candidate in the 2016 race for U.S. President and the cable-news outlet that counts Republicans as a significant part of its audience base.

They Both should be FIRED, the nerve of your News Agency to refer to Ms. Dash as a reporter. Fire them!!!

      Judge Reinhold?

    • dennisjmartinek says:

Let’s be honest: you never watched Megyn Kelly, and the fact that a member of the media…asked a question of the thin-skinned Trump? Gasp! How dare she, or anyone. Don’t worry, even though he’s not on his dumb TV show anymore, I won’t watch The Apprentice. Now go on, drink your Kool-Aid and keep telling yourself the man who can’t take fair questions is qualified. Hope you wake up from your self-induced nightmare soon.

  3. What Trump doesn’t get is that FOX News is the only news organization that takes him seriously, and with Sean Hannity the Captain of his Cheerleading squad (and I don’t dislike Hannity), he keeps biting the hand that feeds him.

Apparently Trump doesn’t realize that running for office means that the media, any media, is supposed to bring up questions, and although he doesn’t like his integrity questioned (assuming he has some), that it’s the job of the media to ask him questions. He can lay into anyone, and everyone, but boy, does his skin get thin when he gets a taste of his own medicine.

If he doesn’t like it, tough. Rich Lowry, although harsh, was dead on in his assessment of Trump. Trump tries to intimidate everyone from challenging him, or, when they stand up to the bully, like a schoolyard bully himself, he cries like most bullies when they don’t get their way.

It’s time that the man who lives and dies by polls starts seeing the tide turn from those fascinated and chuckling over his pathetic “candidacy” to seeing his name disappear from the top, and go to the bottom. Anyone else notice as others rise, and he starts falling, that those polls are no longer “legitimate” in his book? Everything an excuse: Megyn, Carly, etc., followed by the excuse, the lie, the non-apology, and then, the gas he throws on the fire to re-justify his actions?

He’s a fool, and anyone that thinks this guy could be diplomatic, is also a fool. How can you rule with the aid of Congress, Donald, when you insult everyone? Like it or not, it’s not a TV show, and you can tell people you can build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it…but we’re all waiting to hear why in hell they would do that? You going to sue Mexico, or declare America bankrupt first?

  4. Bill says:

I can almost understand the delusions of Macy’s as a consumer company thinking they can throw half, the working half, of America under the bus. I can wonder why Hollywood would cast Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan; then I realize profit is not the important thing. It’s flipping off real America. Starbucks kicking half of America of their stores; well the coffee is terrible and only appeals to the followers. That’s their model. I’m struggling to understand why Fox is destroying itself. Kelly is finished. Don’t they get it? To pursue Trump is to expose themselves for what they are. Conservative boycotted are determined. I’ve avoided Pepsi products since I saw Obama’s face on their product. I understand why no one goes to the movies anymore. Do you?

  5. daughnworks247 says:

Guys, hang on. I actually watched it unfold and complaint is legit. We should all be angry about it because Greta provided confirmation.
Trump asked her why the other polls were not being covered (2 – 24 hour cycles) and she jumped with an excuse. She said, “We” don’t use Zogby because it is internet based. Well, what about the Gravis poll which was clearly tilted. She had no answer when directly asked about the NBC poll. The also ignored Huff Po. Why?
Trump was pussy-footing around her, in the nicest possible way, to get an answer.
Her behavior was so odd, so unusual and her excuse was weird. The use of the term “we” indicates she talked to someone and collective decision was made. That’s complicity.
Fox got caught selecting one outlier poll to promote an agenda and purposely ignored 4 other polls which were all larger in sample size and from credible sources. Not cool.
Frankly, I would protest if something like this (media caught red-handed) if it happened on the DEM side as well.
This is the kind of behavior which should anger us all. Are we so polarized politically that we are past that point?

  6. Jim says:

Donald Trump’s big ego and big mouth will cause a lot of problems if he is elected President.

    • grandmafufu says:

big mouth and ego? He is the only one running on either side who is telling the truth and telling it like it is. We find that refreshing beyond belief. And, how do you think he built and negotiates so successfully with all the other countries and their leaders? Ego? That is a confidence that we haven’t seen in any politician in 35 years. I love a man with an ego that knows what he can do and also that I know he will do. I guess you are o.k. with the rest of the GOP and Democrat establish that LIES and continues to tell you the SOS DD PC BS, in some cases they have been doing this for over 20 years. It is under their watch that this Country is in the mess that it is. Trump is the ONLY ONE who sees the truth, knows the truth and is willing to tell the truth——the truth maybe ugly, but the truth is still the truth. You obviously preferred to be “lied to with smooth talking BS ways”. We do not.

      • dennisjmartinek says:

What truth? He’s speaking his mind, and the last I was aware, just because someone’s mouth flaps, doesn’t mean that’s the truth. When Al Sharpton spews his venom, that doesn’t make it the truth because he says it. When David Duke spoke his mind, that didn’t make it the truth. The only think Trump speaks is juvenile idiocy, and a touch of an idea with no plan (unless you elect him, he won’t tell you), mostly because he has no idea himself.

He’s brash and insulting, I’ll grant you that. But how’s that snot-ass attitude going to help our economy? He lives in a dream world, and those that think he can fire Congress should study U.S. History.

And before you ask, up until three years ago, I was a Republican for 30 years. I left when my intolerant party told me I was a RINO…not “conservative” enough because I didn’t care what people do in their lives. The party of less government wants more government when it suits the far right faction of the party.

How Trump has hypnotized the right-wing extremists amazes me. They forget his stand on key issues to them, and changes his positions on everything depending on which way the wind blows. The GOP will get what they deserve if this man, who has not filed personal bankruptcy, but his corporations have (four times, great business), gets nominated. And I presume I’ll have to vote Democratic or not at all if that plays out.

      • Gina Hoppis says:

OMG are we actually talking about trump when you say honest….he is one of the biggest liar around….he has a ego the size of NY….he is corrupt to the core and has you fooled he was found GUILTY in 92 for corruption and cheating his workers out of their pay and pensions…..he is under litigation now for his fake trump university cheating his students out of up to 35,000 in a bait and switch scheme….he has use emiment domain several time to try to take the average persons homes from them for his own use…one was a 85 yo widow woman he tried to take her home of 37 yrs to build a parking lot for limos….when she refused to sell him her home he had his atty send her a 60 day eviction notice….she got her own atty ….spent all her money fought him for 3 yrs in court and won….thank God….trump cares about trump….but he will say anything you want to hear to get your vote….oh and by the way this sick man has said several times his daughter Ivanka has such a good body she could pose for playboy,,,and if she weren’t his daughter he would date her….what kind of father would say that about his own daughter….

  7. Sally says:

Although I do think he is acting like a whiny baby, at present I am neutral on Trump. I do believe one person commenting had it right when they opined at what Trump would do if he actually was president and all of the slings, barbs, arrows and insults came his way as with every other president. Would he have a hissy tantrum? Sounds like it. As to Chris and his comment on Hillary – dude, the press isn’t even allowed to speak to her. let alone have a meeting as to how to cover her. Get real.

  8. Linda Schoenherr says:

If you thought for yourself instead of going with the ideology of the left you wouldn’t be slaying Trump. Too bad you don’t use the brain God gave you. Try thinking for yourself through intelligent analysis.

  9. I’m neutral right now on Trump but I do fear the other candidates for the reason Jimmy Carter talks about in recent interview, look for it. “Democracy Is Dead, US Turns Into ‘Oligrachy,” The need of at least $200 million for any would-be Presidential candidate in the US marks the transformation of the country from a democracy to an oligarchy.
Trump is quite right when he says these candidates will owe their oligrarchy funders favors!

  10. Donald Trump has gotten 90% plus favorable coverage from all of the following:
Bill O’Reilly, Greta, Sean Hannity, the Fox & Friends co-hosts, Eric Bolling, Geraldo, Howard Kurtz, Kimberly Guilfoyle and Harris Faulkner

  11. cadavra says:

It bears repeating: How can Trump be expected to face down the likes of Putin when he gets into a hissy fit every time Fox takes a poke at him? What a pathetic little whiny-ass crybaby.

    • Gettingby says:

Fox pissed off a large portion of it’s audience by their behavior and in business you pay for that. Many do not like the product you are now selling. Trump has no obligation to appear on Fox. Unlike many he does not need Fox, there are hundreds of ways to get the news and information without television. Fox needs him way more than he needs Fox.

Volkswagen deliberately lied to sell their product. Who lost…regular people
The banks and other financial institutions lied resulting in the 2008 meltdown. Who lost?…regular people.
The sub prime morgage fiasco was based on lies. Who suffered and lost the most?…regular people
Mass media lies and lies and lies and tries to manipulate us 24/7 Who suffers…everyone
The governments all thrive on lies stacked on lies. Who suffers….the people.
We are lied to about “white on black” violence.
We are lied to about immigration.
We are lied to about Islam being the religion of peace.
We are lied to about foriegn affairs.

People are just plain sick of being lied to. Can’t anybody just provide simple facts?

  12. therealroyalking says:

    Ah hah hah!

Ailes waives the white flag so soon!

  13. martha says:

Fox news needs Trump. Fox pundits are all anti-Trump but they still need Trump for rating. It’s all about the rating. Kelly’s question was out of line. He was pointing at Rosie not all women but she included like all women. It didn’t offend me as a woman because I already know how he talks -that’s him, different than other guy. Karl Rove calls him” a jerk” but it’s okay with that huh ??? Karl Rove’s days are gone. Rep. base likes Trump !!! !

  14. kozanne says:

I’m a conservative. I’m basically neutral on the Presidential lineup for now, we’ve got a long way to go yet. What bothers me is what jsm said, Trump and a network are going to agree on how to cover him. How is that any different from the mainstreams kissing 0bama’s boots during the last general? How is that any different from Candy Crowley at the second Presidential debate in 2012?

This is what scares me. Donald Trump tapped into an enormous reservoir of anger in the American people and that anger is a very potent thing.

    • jsm1963 says:

Two entirely different things. How is Obama responsible if the press gives him favorable coverage? No media heads met with Obama so they can agree on how to cover him.

  15. Jim says:

Mr. Obama has been treated far worse by Fox News.

    • jsm1963 says:

and we don’t see Obama constantly whining on Twitter.

      • grandmafufu says:

obama whines on national TV all of the time—–“oh, nobody likes me because I am black” BS. And when obama isn’t “whining” he is busy destroying this Country. You are obviously a liberal.

      • jsm1963 says:

“oh, nobody likes me because I am black.” Do me a favor and find when he said that.

You’d be hard pressed to find anything as ridiculous from Obama as these regular twitter rants from Trump when he doesn’t get favorable coverage.

And, yes, I am a liberal. I’m glad you caught that.

  16. W. Williams says:

Trump is mad because Fox is being mean to him. Consider this Mr. Trump, if you are elected President, are you planning to get into a Twitter Feud every Sunday after SNL slams you (like they do with EVERY PRESIDENT), or put off important meetings with other world leaders so you can plan your revenge on the press and late night TV? I’m sorry, but we need someone who values discussion and debate rather than a man child who spouts off insults and threats every-single-time someone opposes or insults you. Do you have any idea how much worse it will get IF you are actually elected?? (Ask Obama, , Bush, Clinton, Bush, Regan, Carter…etc.) We don’t have time for the BS. Grow up. Fox, you should treat this like any child having a tantrum – Ignore them until they calm down

    • Gettingby says:

man child who spouts off….read what you wrote son.

    • Veritas says:

The issue isn’t one of Fox being tough on the candidates, it is about being treated the same. Trump is the only one that Fox, and the other media outlets, are slinging mud at. Name one other candidate that Lowry has talked down to in a derisive matter? And why is that? Because the media and the GOP establishment wants a specific candidate to win, Jeb Bush, who is also the candidate the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and, hence, Wall Street want to win.

      • jsm1963 says:

You sound like every conservative over the last 50 years. This idea that the press is obligated to have someone on staff to provide counterbalance when someone or thing is getting negative coverage.

      • With all due respect I think you have a bad case of being blinded by what I call ‘tribal bias’ to suggest the Trump coverage on Fox News has been unfair.

Do you realize he has gotten 90% plus favorable coverage from all of the following?
Bill O’Reilly, Greta, Sean Hannity, the Fox & Friends co-hosts, Eric Bolling, Geraldo, Howard Kurtz, Kimberly Guilfoyle and Harris Faulkner

It’s true you have George Will, Dana Perino, Karl Rove, Megyn Kelly and Charles Krauthammer on the other side as critics, But I submit that their collective voices are greatly outweighed by the pro Trump voices.

  17. jsm1963 says:

Is there a precedent for this? They’re going to get together with Trump and agree to how they will cover him?

  18. Bill B. says:

It stinks and he will find a way to twist it to his advantage as he does with everything regardless of how obviously fake and untrue it may be. The only good news is that the country will clearly be sick and tired of this nonsense and constant immature behavior, words and tantrums listening to him for MORE THAN ANOTHER YEAR!!! He is starting to slip in the polls and that should continue. What got him all of this attention will ultimately be what destroys his ambitions.

  19. Dunstan says:

Trump is a bully. And Chris is right. If a Democratic candidate met with news media to discuss coverage of his/her campaign, the right wingnuts would go nuclear. Fox News’ slogan “fair and balanced” is now even more laughable.

  20. -J. says:

Trump who ? Megyn Kelly for President !

  21. Mike says:

It may be better for Trump not to meet with Ailes. Obviously Fox News has an agenda that won’t help Trump and the country overall.

  22. Picky Peg says:

No matter what happens Trump will claim he won and they love him and he is rich and he is just wonderful and they have a KLASSEEE Deal………what a typical 6 year olds response….he is a bag o’maggots.

  23. Chris says:

Wow. Imagine if Hillary Clinton “met” with the head of CBS News to “discuss” their coverage of her campaign. Fox News would be cool with that, right?

  24. Greg Marotta says:

    This smells of orchestration.

    • dennis smith says:

That’s because it is an orchestrated attack on Trump by the media and the GOP establishment.
Bush is the selected candidate who will give the monied men their ttp amongst other deals. TTP is not only about trillions of dollars in profits for them, it is about destroying our sovereignty.
The only way they can eliminate the Constitution is through trade deals and agreements.
      Trump is our last hope.
      Seek and you shall find.

    • Lazarus Long III says:

      Smells… Yes…
