DirecTV Orders Sex Comedy 'You Me

DirecTV has ordered a 10 half-hour episode season of the twisted indie rom-com “You Me Her” to air on its Audience Network.

The series, produced by Entertainment One (eOne), is inspired by a Playboy feature titled “Sugar on Top” written by John H. Richardson. The series centers around a three-way romantic relationship involving a suburban married couple.

“We are excited to partner with eOne again to bring ‘You Me Her’ to our viewers,” said Chris Long, DirecTV’s senior VP of original content and production. “Audience Network always strives to feature a wide-ranging slate of programming that is unlike anything else on television.”

DirecTV and eOne have previously partnered to create “Rogue,” which is currently in its third season and stars Cole Hauser, Richard Schiff and Thandie Newton.

“’You Me Her’ presents an alternative world inside a beloved genre,” said John Morayniss, CEO of eOne. “It offers a seductive, cheeky and intriguing window into the emotional highs and lows that inevitably result from the complications of romantic entanglements … especially when there are more than two people involved. We are pleased to partner with DirecTV again and look forward to even more successes together.”

“You Me Her” creator John Scott Shepherd will serve as exec producer and showrunner. He is represented by Paradigm and McKuin Frankel Whitehead. Peter Jaysen and Alan Gasmer will also executive produce.
