Bravo & Oxygen’s David O’Connell Elevated to Add E!, Esquire to Duties

David O’Connell has been upped to EVP of production management and operations of NBC Universal’s Lifestyle Networks, adding E! and Esquire to current duties at Bravo and Oxygen.

In his new expanded role, O’Connell will oversee production management and operations across all four networks, maximizing productivity and increasing brand value for the lifestyle portfolio.

Previously, O’Connell supervised production on Bravo and Oxygen original series and specials including “Preachers of Detroit,” “Sisterhood of Hip Hop,” “The Prancing Elites Project,” “The Real Housewives” franchise and “Top Chef.”

“David is an integral part of the production team with an exceptional understanding of the industry and practical operational experience,” said Jerry Leo, EVP of program strategy, Lifestyle Networks, and production, Bravo Media. “His reliable leadership and proven track record add immeasurable value to the continued success of all four networks.”

O’Connell joined Bravo in 2004. As SVP of production and operations for the cabler, he has worked on “Flipping Out,” “Million Dollar Listing,” “Shahs of Sunset,” “Southern Charm,” “Vanderpump Rules,” “Watch What Happens Live” and “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List,” among others.

Prior to Bravo, he was head of production at World of Wonder Productions, where he worked on HBO’s “Monica in Black & White,” A&E’s “The History of Hair” and VH1’s “100 Greatest Dance Songs of Rock & Roll.”

O’Connell will continue to report to Leo and is based in L.A.
