NBC’s drama pilot “Curse of the Fuentes Women” from “Ugly Betty” producer Silvio Horta has found its leading man. Adan Canto has been cast in the role of Salvador, Variety has learned.
Salvador is described as a mysterious stranger who washes up on Miami Beach and comes into the lives of the Fuentes women, reviving a link to a magical past.
Canto (“The Following,” “Mixology,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past”) is the first actor cast in the hourlong NBC pilot.
The “Fuentes Women” pilot was penned by Horta, who will also serve as an exec producer. The project hails from Horta’s Silent H Productions and Warner Bros. TV.
Canto is repped by UTA, Aida Bernal at Spellbound Entertainment and Joseph Weiner.
