‘Community’ Might Not Be Over Yet

The hashtag #CommunityLivesOn may prove prophetic.

Although the season six finale of “Community,” which debuted today on Yahoo Screen, felt like a series finale — with several of the characters leaving Greendale — sources at Yahoo say the cult comedy may have a future after all.

“With the season six finale of ‘Community’ airing today, we’re continually excited by how much fans are engaging with the series,” said a Yahoo spokesperson.

“Now that all episodes are available for binge viewing, stay tuned for how we keep ‘Community’ delighting its fans.”

Might the show achieve its goal of #sixseasonsandamovie after all?

I have to say, it’s hard for me to let community go. The show provides an inexplicable sense of happiness, and every episode has made me laugh. It’s casting efforts inevitably enhance what would have been gaping voids in the cast. I always find myself wanting more. I’m emotional invested, and besides the obvious continuity obstacles, I would love to see the show continue into season 7 and beyond. Dan harmon has proven over and over that he has the creative genius to keep the ball rolling, and, even though I would not blame him for hanging up the community hat, I would like to express my trust in him as a creator. So, mr. Harmon, if you are to ever read this, take it from a real community college student in Colorado, the show must go on.

Whether it’s over or not, great thanks to Dan Harmon for this show. I have never connected to a show before. I’m better for having watched it.

  3. Sandy Muller says:

    No Chevy no show. Zzzzx

  4. Fingers crossed for a season 7! This show will never fail with Harmon at the helm, at least imho.
