No surprise here — zombies are taking over Comic-Con once again.
“Fear the Walking Dead” makes its Con debut with a cast and creative panel, which will feature stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frank Dillane, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Lorenzo James Henrie, Ruben Blades and Mercedes Mason, along with showrunner David Erickson and exec producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and Dave Alpert.
“Fear” star Debnam-Carey, one of Variety‘s 10 TV Actors to Watch, is anticipating her first Comic-Con, as part of “The Walking Dead” family. “I have been warned about Comic Con,” she said with a laugh. “I don’t know that anyone is prepared for the fans of ‘TWD.’ They are some of the most loyal fans of any show on television right now.”
“The Walking Dead” panelists include actors Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James and Sonequa Martin-Green, plus showrunner Scott M. Gimple, exec producers Gale Anne Hurd, Robert Kirkman and David Alpert and exec producer-director-special effects make-up supervisor Greg Nicotero.
Both “Walking Dead” panels will be moderated by “Talking Dead” host Chris Hardwick.
AMC’s upcoming martial arts drama “Into the Badlands” will also host a panel with cast members Daniel Wu, Marton Csokas, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham and Orla Brady, creator-showrunner-exec producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and exec producer-director David Dobkin and exec producer-fight director Stephen Fung. IGN’s Roth Cornet will moderate.
