Brian Williams May Return to NBC News in New Role: Report

Brian Williams Returning to NBC?

Brian Williams may be returning to NBC — but not necessarily to his “NBC Nightly News” anchor chair.

According to a CNN report, sources say that the disgraced journalist would have a new, unknown role. When asked for details and clarification by Variety, NBC News declined to comment. Williams’ attorney did not immediately return a request to comment.

Williams is currently enduring a six-month suspension after it became clear he misrepresented his experience in the 2003 invasion of Iraq. An inhouse investigation found several other examples of his misrepresentations and exaggerations.

Brian Williams has learned his lesson and has taken his punishment like man so don’t change his punishment up mid stream. Give him back his program. He is not the only one to screw up. We the public have been waiting for Briran. Good Luck Brian. Fight for your job.

  3. charcramer says:

They should have fired him. Why would NBC still want to be associated with him? He has lost his credibility forever, and sadly so has NBC.
