AMC gave fans the first peek at season two of its acclaimed series “Better Call Saul” on Friday.

The “Breaking Bad” spinoff, which is currently shooting its sophomore season in Albuquerque, N.M., is set to return to AMC early next year.

The first photo from the upcoming season shows star Bob Odenkirk, who plays small-time-turned-criminal-lawyer Jimmy McGill, looking dismayed as he stands across from two men in suits. The behind-the-scenes image below shows creators and executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould on the set of the hit drama.

The series recently received seven Emmy nominations, including ones for outstanding drama, lead actor in a drama (Odenkirk), supporting actor in a drama (Jonathan Banks, who plays Mike Erhmantraut) and writing for a drama.

In addition to Gilligan and Gould, “Better Call Saul” is also executive produced by Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein.

The reason I started my Netflix subscription in February. Worth every penny! £55.62 so far to be exact :/

Seriously though, It was just great!

  2. Muggles says:

Can’t you just see Gilligan playing a minor role in BCS? Something like a dissatisfied junior in the courts passing Jimmy insider tips for a small consideration.

  3. Marlene Walters says:

Can’t wait to see how Jimmy’s relationship with Kim (Rhea Seehorn) develops. Last season left us wanting more. There’s something just under the radar that says, “Yes.”

  4. Marty Gillis says:

This is the ONLY TV show I am waiting for………. I expect the pacing to be slightly sped up each season as Jimmy inches closer to Saul so Season Two should be a real corker.. This is gonna be good. Bring it on!

      I couldn’t agree more!

One of the more warranted spin-offs in history. Bob Odenkirk’s portrayal of Saul/Jimmy is so heartbreaking sometimes and other times comedic genius (adult diapers in the garbage bin).

I can’t wait to see the next season to see more of how “Jimmy” became “Saul.”
