Adrianne Palicki has been upped to a series regular on “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.”

Palicki, who’s best known for her role on “Friday Night Lights,” joined the ABC superhero drama in its second season as HYDRA operative Bobbi Morse (aka Mockingbird). She was revealed to be a SHIELD agent and the ex-wife of Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) during her six-episode arc.

Her character will appear on the March 3 midseason premiere. The episode “Aftershocks” finds Palicki’s Bobbi and Henry Simmons’s Mack beginning the next phase of a plan that will have “grave repercussions for Coulson and his team,” who are unaware of the force against them.

“Agents of SHIELD” also recently cast “The Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo as Karla Faye Gideon and Edward James Olmos as Robert Gonzales.
