Variety’s 2015 Power of Women: New York event is honoring Glenn Close, Lena Dunham, Whoopi Goldberg, Rachel Weisz and Kim Kardashian West for their philanthropic efforts. Follow along below for live updates.

The ceremony will be hosted by Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer, stars of Lifetime’s “UnREAL.” Close is being honored for her work with Bring Change 2 Mind; Dunham for Girls Educational & Mentoring Services – GEMS; Goldberg for Figure Skating in Harlem; Weisz for The Opportunity Network; and Kardashian West for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

    If I did what Lena did to her sister and then made up a story about a fake rape claim when I was in college they would lock me up and throw away the key. Feed me to the animals. It must be nice to be a rich and famous and get rewarded for doing those sick acts. As for Kim K It must also be nice to be famous for doing nothing. Shiri Appleby on the other hand worked her butt off to make it in this business without going under the knife or committing stupid acts, getting horrible tattoos or acting like she’s god. Shiri Appleby’s the one that need to be recognized.
