Police found a small amount of “a suspected controlled substance that field tested as cocaine” in the room where Weiland’s body was recovered, and the same substance was found in Black’s area of the bus, according to Bloomington, M.N. police.
Black, Weiland’s Wildabouts bandmate, was arrested and booked for a probable cause felony — possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree. He’s being held at the the Bloomington Police Department awaiting charges. The department stated that there was “no information at this time related to the cause of Weiland’s death.”
Weiland was found unresponsive on his tour bus Thursday night in Minnesota, where he and the Wildabouts were scheduled to perform at the Medina Ballroom.
