Formerly known as the iTunes Festival, the free 10-day fest is broadcast live on iTunes and on demand on Apple Music. Apple’s Beats 1 radio station will also air backstage content.
Apple Music tweeted the news early Tuesday morning.
Launched in 2007, the festival has included performances from Paul McCartney, Adele, Elton John, Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga and more.
Pharrell and the 1D lads took to Twitter to express their excitement.
The festival kicks off at London’s Roundhouse theater Sept. 19.
