Donald Trump has offered praise, and Hillary Clinton, in an interview with “Extra” on Monday, said her advice to him would be, “Well, if I’m going for my second term to wait four years, but if I’m not, to be sure he has comfortable shoes because there’s a lot of walking involved.”
Some of his fans are taking it seriously. Shortly after West’s VMA appearance, Eugene Craig of Maryland set up a SuperPAC, Ready for Kanye, in hopes that he will run as a Republican. Craig also is chairman of the Young Minority Republicans Fund, which has been critical of another celebrity figure whose campaign once seemed unlikely: Trump. Craig told Rolling Stone that while Trump is “shrinking the party,” West “brought us an opportunity to actually grow it.”
Meanwhile, a fan behind the site Yeezus 2020 is out with two new videos to lay the groundwork for a candidacy.
Remember, this is 2020, not 2016 — so there’s still plenty of time for campaigning.
