Adam Sandler Debuts New Version of ‘Chanukah Song’

Adam Sandler has released a new version of his classic “Chanukah Song” for the fourth time since its “Saturday Night Live” debut in 1994.

“The fourth list of people who are Jewish” mentions Jared from Subway, Shia LaBeouf, Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Adam Levine, Scarlett Johansson, Drake, Princess Leia and the characters from “Frozen.” Sandler performed the latest rendition last week at a show in San Diego and posted the video on Happy Madison’s YouTube page on Wednesday just in time for … Thanksgiving.

He also sang it on Nov. 14 while making a surprise appearance at Judd Apatow’s standup special at New York City’s Carnegie Hall.

“Jared from Subway: f—, a Jew/but guess who’s Jewish and can fix him? Loveline’s Dr. Drew,” Sandler sings in one controversial line, referring to the formed Subway pitchman who was sentenced last week to 15 years in prison on charges related to sex with minors and child pornography.

The original “Chanukah Song” included Goldie Hawn, O.J. Simpson and Spock; the 1999 tune featured Winona Ryder, Mike D and Courtney Love; and the 2002 song named Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Stiller and Natalie Portman.

Adam Sandler. I just read singer Pink’s mom is Jewish. That would make her a Jew. Her mom’s last name was Kugel.

He actually performed this song back in May (I think he said that was his first time) during his stand up tour in Connecticut *just saying* :)

I’ll have to listen to the original again. I’m curious as to how Sandler referenced OJ Simpson as Jewish!
