Veteran Broadway execs Roy Gabay and Daniel Kuney, the pair behind Roy Gabay Prods., are forming JumpStart Entertainment, a general management and exec producing services company.

JumpStart will offer its services to premiere Broadway, Off Broadway, touring and special event productions from the same offices where the now-shuttered Roy Gabay Prods. worked.

Gabay started the eponymous company in 1998 after working with Elizabeth I. McCann on shows including “A View From the Bridge.” Kuney came on board in 2002. The pair has worked on such tuners as “Rock of Ages,” “Fela” and “Honeymoon in Vegas.” On their slate is “Monsoon Wedding” and “Brooklynite,” among other shows.

“This partnership celebrates an incredible working relationship that Daniel and I have shared for the past 15 years,” Gabay said. “Together we have built a unique approach to management and producing that puts the focus on relationships and the people we work with while creating innovating models for using data to maximize ticket sales and keep shows running profitably.”

“Working with Roy these many years has been an inspiring privilege,” Kuney said. “His expertise, in addition to his unparalleled integrity and enthusiasm, have made him not just a great mentor and business partner, but a close friend as well, and I am honored to join him in this thrilling new venture.”
