“True Detective” and “Hunger Games” actress Leven Rambin is joining the cast of the indie drama “Tatterdemalion.”
Ramaa Mosley is directing from a script she co-wrote with Tim Macy.
The story revolves around an army veteran, played by Rambin, who returns home to the Ozarks and finds an abandoned young boy in the woods. As she searches for answers about the child’s identity, she discovers a mysterious world of folklore, clan rules and lies. She ultimately jeopardizes her life to protect the young boy.
The film will be produced by Mosley, Macy, Gina Resnick and Cameron Gray.
Rambin has a busy year ahead; she was last seen in “Walter” with William H. Macy and “I Am Michael” alongside James Franco and Zachary Quinto.
She is repped by Paradigm, Management 360 and Sloane Offer Weber and Dern.
