Prior to joining Content, Butterfield founded and ran independent production outfit Culmination Productions where he produced “Life at These Speeds,” starring Billy Crudup and Tim Roth and “London Town,” starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers. He also executive produced films “Welcome to Me,” starring Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell; “47 Meters Down,” staring Mandy Moore and Claire Holt; and “Wild Oates,” starring Shirley Maclaine and Jessica Lange.
Previously, Butterfield worked for Zide/Perry Productions in Los Angeles, where he was involved with the “American Pie” trilogy as well as the “Final Destination” series. Butterfield also worked for the UK Film Council in the New Cinema Fund.
Content’s current slate includes Lorenzo di Bonaventura-produced “Higher Power”; “Janis: Little Girl Blue”, directed by Amy Berg; Dennis Hauck’s neo-noir detective thriller “Too Late,” starring John Hawkes; Joel David Moore’s “Youth In Oregon,” starring Frank Langella, Crudup and Christina Applegate; the supernatural horror “Don’t Knock Twice,” starring Katee Sackhoff, Lucy Boynton and Nick Moran; and the Maria Callas biopic “Callas,” starring Noomi Rapace.
