Watch: Emma Watson and Ethan Hawke in ‘Regression’ First Trailer

Fear finds its next victim in the first official trailer for Ethan Hawke and Emma Watson’s upcoming thriller “Regression.”

Hawke plays a detective investigating the case of a young woman (Watson) who accuses her father (David Dencik) of sexual abuse. He admits guilt without recollection, and a psychologist (David Thewlis) is brought in to help him revive regressed memories, ultimately unmasking a nationwide mystery.

Alejandro Amenabar, who helmed Nicole Kidman’s “The Others” and whose film “The Sea Inside” won the foreign language Oscar in 2004, will direct from his own screenplay

The Weinstein Co.-Dimension release hits theaters on August 28.

    Absolutely love Ethan Hawke

  2. concerned insider says:

me thinks that Amenabar has already directed this, so would be “…Amenabar directs from his own screenplay.”

  3. Mantle Head says:

I have a feeling that even in his most meditative moments, Hawke takes himself SUPER seriously… hahaha- so is this a thriller or a horror movie; looks like a horror film that might have worked better as a thriller… but Hawke needs to realize that the world goes on despite himself… he’s too serious; who gives a sh*t, it’s just a movie and he’s just an actor… cue the dramatic music…
