Actor Pierce Brosnan’s home caught fire late Wednesday night in Malibu.

The fire reportedly started in the garage, according to KABC, and was later extinguished by firefighters.

No injuries were reported.

Damages to the home, garage and its contents were estimated to be over $1 million. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Dept.

The story first broke after 11:30 p.m. PT local time. Local affiliates caught video of Brosnan talking to firefighters outside the home.

The actor, 61, is best-known for playing James Bond in the 007 movies “Die Another Day,” “The World Is Not Enough” and “GoldenEye.”

He has since starred in “The Ghost Writer” and “November Man.”

A witness posted this video to YouTube of the blaze.

Gosh, i hate to see this type of stuff. No matter who you are, an everyday Joe, or a well known actor like Pierce, fires are devastating to the owner of the building or home. As an insurance claim adjuster I see this day in and day out. It can really interrupt people lives.

If you ever suffer any type of fire there are things you should do, and things you should NOT do to protect yourself and your claim. In any event, we pray that Pierce and his family get through this without a lot of turmoil. Dealing with some insurance companies can be worse than dealing with the fire itself. Just because he has more money than most does not mean this will not severely interrupt his life. Not to mention if anything he lost that is non replaceable or sentimental.

Pity the witness didn’t know how to operate the focus or exposure controls on their camera/phone.

I think you meant “extinguished” despite the star status.
