Reginald Hudlin and Phil Gurin have signed a three-year contract to continue as executive producers for the NAACP Image Awards, the NAACP and TV One announced Wednesday.

The NAACP Image Awards celebrate the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film and also honor those who promote social justice through creative endeavors.

“We are elated to have the opportunity to continue to produce the NAACP Image Awards for TV One and have great plans and ideas to raise the bar even higher,” said Hudlin and Gurin.  “Our ultimate goal is to deliver an entertaining show that honors the best in our community–we are already working on securing today’s leading talent to be part of the next broadcast.”

Hudlin, whose credits include serving as president of BET Networks and producing Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained,” has executive produced the awards since 2013. Gurin, whose credits include ABC’s “Shark Tank,” joined him in 2014.

The 47th NAACP Image Awards will air live on February 5 on TV One.
