Michael Cera will provide the voice of Robin in Warner Bros.’ animated “Lego Batman,” the studio’s spinoff of “The Lego Movie.”

Robin did not appear in last year’s “The Lego Movie,” which included Will Arnett as the gruff voice of Batman, evoking some of the biggest laughs in the movie. Arnett has signed on to return.

“Lego Batman” will open on Feb. 10, 2017 — three years after the original. Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are producing, and Chris McKay, the animation supervisor on “The Lego Movie,” is directing from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith.

Cera has a voice role in Seth Rogen’s animated “Sausage Party.” He is repped by ICM Partners, Thruline and Lichter Grossman. The news was first reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
