Myriad Pictures’ Scoundrel Media label will finance and handle worldwide sales, which are launching at the American Film Market.
Heather Rae, whose credits include “Frozen River” and “The Dry Land,” is producing.
The story will focus on Headey’s character and her husband deciding to separate and going on one last family camping trip in a remote area of the Pacific Northwest to break the news to their young daughter. But an evil presence lurks in the woods – and it soon influences the daughter. Upon their return to Seattle, a police detective investigating a series of missing persons becomes convinced that the daughter is responsible.
Headey will be seen next in “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.” She is repped by CAA, Troika and TMT Entertainment Group.
Myriad’s Audrey Delane and Kevin Forester negotiated international sales rights to the film with Rae negotiating on behalf of the filmmakers.
