UPDATED: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted a video Tuesday showing off a graphic hand injury — except that it wasn’t his actual hand.
In the Instagram clip that the actor posted from the set of his upcoming film “Central Intelligence,” he shows a gasp-inducing look at one of his fingers that is definitely bent the wrong way. However, a rep from New Line clarified that it’s only a joke — it’s a prosthetic hand that’s seemingly broken.
“I just stepped off set,” Johnson says in the video. “My director, Rawsom Thurber, just ran up to me. We had a little accident. He said, ‘Are you bleeding?’ I said, ‘Bleed? I ain’t got time to bleed.’ Let’s pop this son-of-a-bitch back in.”
Kevin Hart co-stars with Johnson in “Central Intelligence.” Johnson plays a CIA contract killer who reconnected with his old friend, played by Hart, a former high school sports star-turned-accountant. Johnson proceeds to rope him into helping foil a plot to sell classified military secrets.
“We’re the Millers” helmer Thurber is directing from a script by Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stassen. Warner Bros.-based New Line is producing.
